Sept 26 - 28: Matsumoto
Don't you love it when God surprisingly reunites you with friends
from "another lifetime"? I grew up in the 60's with Jon and
David Junker, who lived in my parents' dormitory. I hadn't seen them
since my graduation in 1970. Then, this past June, I walked into the
dining room at The Evangelical Alliance Mission Center (TEAM), and there was
Jon! After shouting and hugging each other we began to catch up and
I discovered a fellow church planter. One thing led to another, and now
I'm traveling to Matsumoto where Jon, David and their families are
planting churches. They are among the few missionaries who are focusing
on leadership development within the church. What a privilege to be able
to share life with them...after all these years!
Pray that I will go to Matsumoto as a "learner" as well as an encourager. It gets lonely out there for these faithful warriors. .
